I don't think it is real. I think she is writing a parody of sorts.

lord i just saw this exchange in the comments

Probably not a good idea to publicly slam the company that pays your bills and the CEO that signs the checks, as proven by your update.
If you wonder why 18 year olds that live with their parents are doing the same job as you, it is because it is an entry level position with minimum wage pay that does not require a college…

What an idiot. Entitled and blaming someone else for her shitty decisions. Its called life. No one owes you a damn thing and no one is forcing you to work for Yelp. Don't like your situation then work to change it.

Am I supposed to feel sorry for an english lit major? She probably thinks she's more talented than she is, hence she'll drudge through life thinking she's not appreciated enough, when at the end of the day she's just not that special.

I enjoyed this more than I should have.

it's not really about her major
she chose a very low-paying job when i'm sure she could get better jobs (as someone posted earlier even a professional job like librarian)
she also chose to the 2nd most expensive city in the US to take this low-paying job. she could have gotten a similar job in a number of other cities where she wouldn't have to pay 80% of her salary on rent

She'll be the first one to vote for Bernie tho.
If she were smart, which she isn't, she would vote for the liberal that has a chance to get elected.

You know that whole safe space in college thing?
Yeah, that's fricking over. Welcome to the real world where the shite you say has consequences.
So glad the millenials I know are starting their own business and no waiting on a job to be created for them.
I had a little something to do with that. My contribution to the world this year.

I feel no pity for this person. None. Nada. Zip.
Just a smidge of research BEFORE spending tens of thousands of dollars on a degree and it would have been painfully obvious this was a losing proposition.

Is it a dick move to Venmo her a penny?
Am I going to get blasted on the interwebs and be unemployable if I do that?

SFP, I remember a few weeks ago there was a thread where you defined "mansplaining" to me.
I see the definition also extends to situations "when a man disagrees with a woman."

yeah it was a very odd time to drop the M-word
it's just the natural reflex of those types. they drop one of their big words or an x-ist allegation

I was going to put, .01 "I suggest looking at getting a refund on your college education because you're article was painful to read".
