Frying squash atm. Unforeseen events (hospitalization of in-law grandmother) has led to it just being me, SO, MIL and her boyfriend. This is what I'm thankful for this year

Just read my wife the story about the in laws fricking in the car outside. It reminded her of an event she heard about in her small hometown. The black sheep of the family decides to come home for thanksgiving after a few years of not seeing anyone and being methed out. Next thing you know she’s caught in the bathroom giving her sisters husband a hummer. Kicker to that story is the sisters still get along and the couple are still married

Every year it's the same thing - everyone winds up bitching about politics and I go sit on the porch and enjoy some decent weather. This year it's supposed to be raining like crazy, so I've brought a large umbrella. I really wish they'd take a vow to quit bringing up the stuff to pick arguments with each other, but it'll never happen. Politics is now religion in this family and I want none of the bickering. I may just round up my niece and nephew and go out for a ride - they hate it as much as I do.

I wish I could say I could, but I showed up with it like this. Apprently they need parts, once again we are out in the boonies. I think one needs new donut while the other is supply issue. Im going to suggest to my FIL to at least let us start filling the tank via bucket.
