My dog went out into the backyard and came back in covered in oak pollen fronds. But totally typical so far this year. I’ve seen it so that the oak pollen is 6 deep in the gutters in years past.

It’s been so bad that we had to cancel three soccer practices so far this spring.

the wind blowing plumes of pollen from the pine trees.

I live on the edge of Alexander State Forest and surrounded by ROM and Crowell Lumber pine forest. In a gust of wind last week it popped in my mind "who is burning something with the burn band on".....it was pine pollen that was heavy enough it looked like smoke.

The recent rain has helped some but it is making a comeback. THANK GOD pine pollen doesn't flare up my allergies....but don't worry, all the other pollens are some to show up in a fury.

Record warmth? Isnt it supposed to be in 40s?

Come on man! You know all weather sources have to be as hyperbolic as possible. The funding depends on it.

Push the narrative

Pollen Storm

I wish meteorologists would stop with the creative names to stay relevant on social media for clicks and likes and stick to forecasting the weather.

Next thing you know insurance companies are going to take note and stop allergy coverage during a “pollen storm” or doctors will go out of network to charge more.

It was miserable in North La last weekend. Rustin sports complex has ponds full of pollen scum after the rain.

I live in Ruston and you’re right. It’s been dropping for about a week now. I already got my steroid shot and antibiotics for my annual yellow snow sinus infection.

With the lack of rain recently, when the storms rolled in Saturday, the wind before the storms made it look like we were driving in fog.
