Probably so. Played alot mostly from late 90s to late 2000s. Alot of Satsuma tourneys but we played everywhere. Usually "c" ball but sometimes we would bump up

It was a pretty big thing up to the late 60's for fast pitch softball. Companies sponsored teams and recruited players, and not just local players.

Yes grown men in snazzy baseball uniforms with flat bill caps with team names like the 69rs and Balls Deep. Most of them have barbed wire tats.

ASA Softball (now USA Softball) has had amateur adult tournaments for decades. Back when I was umpiring in college 20-25 years ago, we used to do a lot of these tournaments. Teams would go around and play in tournaments each weekend.
Most of the teams were employer based. I remember Kentwood Water had a team with all these jacked-up delivery drivers that was really, really good, as in every batter could hit a HR at any time.
