Neighbors kid, who is 5, was outside by himself in front of his house from 4-6pm today. We checked cameras, dad was never home and mom left at 11am, didn’t show back up til 6pm.

Am I crazy for being upset or is that the norm and I’m paranoid?

You sure grandma wasnt watching him or something?

Or do you live in a trailer park?

See if he knows how to operate a push mower and put him to work.

Unless you are 100% sure he was home alone it’s not your business
Unless he was getting in the street or endangering himself

Why are you spying on 5 year old kids for two hours? That's kinda creepy.

So you think they left the kid alone and he spent 5 hours in the house and then let himself out to play for two hours?

Kid probably sensed that you were anxious and thought that the neighborhood could use a masculine presence.

I say the same thing to anyone with similar issues. Before you decide to do anything, remember that you have to live next door to these folks.

Go outside, say hello and ask him bro.

If his parents are gone, stay outside and shoot basketball or something till his folks get home.

Dont bring him in your house. Dont go in his.

Yeah, I'd be concerned too.

Let us know what you find out.

Casually monitor the situation and don’t do shite unless you see an indication that the kid is in danger or something.

If you truly feel the child is being neglected, do the right thing. I just had to take a course on this yesterday. You can remain anonymous. When it comes to neighbors, mind you own business...unless it involves a child that may be in danger.

Yup. Had the opportunity to casually check in if actually worried. To pass up going out and chatting with the kid and instead act hours later is just attention/drama seeking

Neighbor on other side the house went back and reviewed his camera. Only two people were at the house from 6pm yesterday to 6pm today. Other person left at 1am and she left at 10:30am. I know he was outside for two hours from 4-6 because I took my son outside because I was finished up with work
