I don’t bring it with me because I don’t currently have a strong box, just curious what others do.

To the poster that made the comment about not needing the gun in ever facet of life. I agree, but we also don’t get to pick and choose when we’ll need it. The point of me buying my Glock & getting my cc; was so I could have my firearm on me when I needed it. Since I don’t get to decide when I’ll need it, I typically have it on me. I am also aware that because I have it on me; doesn’t mean I’ll even get to use it if the situation justifies it. But better to have and not need (or be able to use); then need and not have

Also, why try to car jack a Tesla? That’s about the dumbest decision you can make. It can just be disabled and tracked any time. These kids are hopeless. Might as well off then now.

They don't know this. I dont think they study the safety features of a car before trying to take it

I don’t bring my gun around because, I don’t want it stolen and I don’t want to have to shoot a black teen.

You will be on trial for your life.

There is some truth to that. DA's will deal with self defense harshly in some cities. They'll do their best to pin a crime on you.

My wife's friends car was used in a shooting last week.

We sat down and had the talk. No more shows at the Saenger at night. No more going to the city at night. I wish their school wouldn't March in parades out there. My old roommate Chris was shot in a port a potty a few years back. It's not safe anywhere even parade routes.

I want to move. I was ready to buy an appliance company in Central Colorado over the summer and the wife vetoed Colorado. I've come to realize African Americans care little to stop crime and care more for the criminal than the victim.
I hate to say it but I want to live somewhere with no culture and bland food if that means I'm around people who give a shite.

... and my wife got irritated with me yesterday when I said I was driving downtown in a separate vehicle to make sure she got to her car okay after getting off her Emergency Medicine shift at UMC ~11P last night.

I sent her that video of those thugs attempting to take that Tesla and drove down there anyway with my Glock locked and loaded anyway so she could follow me home.

Call me paranoid, don't really care.

Young family (2 under 5). Id rather stand trial or the barrel of a gun than let something happen to my kids. I don’t ever plan to use it for stolen property/cash, mainly because of your point. Don’t point at my kids and let me get them away, take what you want.

So apparently it's only safe to drive between the hours of 11PM-3AM.

14% of the carjackings occurred during your timeframe window.

I now get weary driving the stretch of 610. Possibly unfounded, but I just feel better once I get through the Elysian Fields area.

Very true. I'm all for carrying in any way you feel safe. Those roaming for vehicles and prey are armed. Every house cam or car cam show that they are brandishing firearms. I just don't think it will help in a lot of instances. I hope if you carry and find yourself in one of these situations that it swings the tide in your favor.

Illegal possession of a firearm needs to carry more weight in the court of law. Seems like it's viewed as a misdemeanor when sentencing/prosecuting.
