K dawg only did it out of insecurities and fear of not living up to his father's expectations of manliness.

true, but the thing that I don't get is why he thinks KG saying "Semper Fi" is some jingoistic call to war with ISIS.
Jerry is a sensitive pussy, a dick, and delusional.

I would agree for about 99% of servicemembers.

There definitely service members who actively try to be non deployable to avoid the call to duty. Additionally, there were a number of people who joined for say educational benefits/travel that complained once 9/11 happened. They didn't "actually believe going to war was possible when they signed up"

The people who embody the "Semper Fi" motto and faithfully execute their service and give themselves for the betterment of America and people they don't know are "heroes" and worthy of praise. Peacetime, "easy assignments," or difficult assignments don't change that in my mind

He didn't quit, he served his contract and was released from service from a honorable medical discharge.

Yeah, I don't get it. If you're a Marine, you should be able to say it. I thought those guys stood up for one another.

KG goes out of his way to let everyone know he was in the Marines....he hasnt always said Semper Fi on air.....he just started doing that a few years ago.....i guess all the ridicule started getting to him and he wanted to let everyone know that he was in the Marines.

Sources tell me that another thing he went out of his way to do at the station was change the name of his show with Hokie from "The Fan (who at the time was referring to KG) and the Pro(Hokie)" to "The Fans(now refers to the listing audience) and the Pro(Hokie)"

He didnt like being called "the fan" because he thought of himself as much more than that...and I guess WWL did too because they changed the name of the show.

KG thank you for your service

until there's a feminine kige running around the radio getting called a k dawg and uses it for attention and confirmation of acceptance into life. kristian is the type that probably still rocks his high school ring.

Sounds like his enlistment was up... he didn't "quit".

I had a Marine buddy that had his farewell party the week before 9/11... he was buying everybody shots at the bar and shite. The next week he was sad as frick b/c they told him his discharge was on hold until further notice.

Thanks a lot, Osama.

This is a stupid sentiment, especially considering that the compensation the U.S. military gives to maintain an all volunteer force is the highest in human history. 20th Century Drafted Vets=Post Draft Vets. 19th Century Volunteers may have some better noble claim.

He can say Semper Fi all he wants. I know for a fact that he does not give two shits about people that serve. He cares for himself only. If he wants to say it to show he was a Marine, go for it. Don't say it as a salute to those that serve when you don't mean it.
