I follow a WWII history account on instagram. Recently they've been posting pictures from a history of the 8th Infantry Division. I assume it was done right after the war so the troops and their families would have a memoir of their service. The publisher is the Army & Navy Publishing Company, Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Ever heard of it?

President Joe Biden told a joint session of Congress that the Capitol riot on January 6 was the “worst attack on our democracy since the Civil War.”

I saw a key a shop that was labeled as a Nazi prison key. I’m 100% positive its fake but it got me thinking.

How much would a verified authentic key to concentration camp be worth? How would you even think about pricing such a thing?

I don;t know how that you could... One thing is that it would be really though to verify as authentic.

Probably couldn't sell. For some reason Nazi stuff can have restrictions on selling.

As a parent and now a grandparent, I’d rather not.

War is all hell.

I figure that all that type stuff known to be authentic is in museum. So I guess it’s all or nothing. Either it’s known as authentic or it’s worth $30 in a Houston black magic shop.

I think I have a few of those same newspaper clippings. Seems every WW2 veteran kept a few and my great-grandfather was no exception. I have two entire footlockers full of photos and documents from him and my grandfather, I really hope to be able to dedicate a few weeks to sort through it all. One set of items I am definitely looking for frame, don't know if anyone here is a Brown Bomber fan or not.

I have letters from Gen. Patton (a cousin to Gen. Robinson) and items going back to nearly the Civil War era. Signed books from Gen. Pershing post-WW1, my great-great-grandfather's memoir from WW1, and much more. I have a 2nd I.D. guidon that might be WW1 era but not entirely sure.

My Dad was drafted during the Korean War. His unit was the 155th Infantry Regiment / 31st Infantry Division (The Dixie Division!).

The Dixie Division's unit history was published by the same company, the Army & Navy Publishing Company.

I wish I could find another copy of his unit history because as kids my siblings and I pretty much ruined his copy.
