I agree

and a well placed squash match is always shocking/entertaining and keeps the whole "anything is possible" feeling

Best moments of the night were the Kofi-Bryan match and the return of old school Cena. There's a pretty big drop to the third moment. I guess that would be the Smackdown tag title match.

The McMahon/Miz finish and the Lynch win were cool moments. Not that far a drop to #3.

I was very pleased with Wrestlemania this year. The build up wasn't that great this year, but the matches that had the most build up; Miz/Shane, Kofi/Bryan, and Triple H/Batista (this had more history than build up, but most fans know the history between these two, so it made the match better) really delivered. I'm not going to comment on the Charlotte/Becky/Ronda match yet because I unfortunately fell asleep. Not that it was a boring match, but because I was just dead tired from traveling the last few days. It was a good Wrestlemania, just too damn long. Like the OP said, they need to cut 30 minutes, maybe even an hour out. Can't wait for tonight's Raw!

They used the wrong camera angle for the ending of the Miz-Shane match. Should not have gone with the over head shot. Made it too obvious they were falling onto a giant pad.

So according to Meltzer the botch on the main event finish was on Rousey not on the ref. She was supposed to be pinned on that spot but her shoulder should not have come up....and it is not part of the storyline (although I'm sure now it will be worked in)

Interesting.....with that known I'm now in agreement with many of you that that finish was dumb....should have had Lynch submit Rousey which would have skyrocketed her.

I don’t think it was a botch. Ronda gets up immediately pissed and commentary team is all over it. Seems pretty clear to me it was written that way.

I thought Charlotte was there to take the fall to protect Rousey. Instead she is outside of the ring so all 3 come away protected and they can continue this shite for another few months

They could turn this into another Montreal screwjob angle.....have Rousey leave with the Raw title (rumor is there is a new unified title design anyway) and that instantly puts heat on Ronda v whoever the champion is whenever Ronda decides to come back.

If she never comes back then you just expect the audience to forget about it.....like they did when they murdered the Undertaker.....twice

A ref miscount can be easily hidden or worked around mid-match. However, they had Becky's music cued up and ready to go, and Becky reacted like that was the finish.

Ronda/Becky messed up the fall by allowing Ronda's shoulders to briefly come up off of the mat in clear view of the hard camera at around the 1 count.

The last I heard about the refs is that they don't know the finish and are supposed to do a legit three count. If something goes wrong it's on the wrestlers. I know the wrestlers signal the refs though. If their eyes are open it means they're kicking out, closed eyes means they're losing.

Reports have already come out saying the finish was botched. The intended finish was supposed to be be Becky tapping out Charlotte

There have also been reports that pinning Rousey was the finish....and the botch was the shoulder up.

the refs is that they don't know the finish

The refs absolutely know the finishes. They are in communication with the producers during the matches and know how long the match is to go and the finishes.
