WWE Wrestlemania XXXV Weekend

Perhaps this should wait until the official end of the 5 night schedule on Tuesday but with the main events done what does everyone think of the weekend proper?
I've yet to watch NXT and everything after Brutus coming out to speak at the HOF. I know many are already bitching about the length. I'll go ahead and point out that a lot of empty seats could be seen as late as 1.5 hours into the 7 hour block. I sat through Superstars tapings (the night Nailz went Montreal Bret on Vince.) It was 6-10 and even though it was a line of jobbers and JTTS, it was easy to sit through and "up for". If you are getting there as they start wrestling it's not that hard if you have a reason for excitement (i.e. one of the first Steiner Bros matches, the BSK guys out there multiple times, etc)
There's a pretty solid solution. Start the preshow at 3 CDT with that first hour on USA with both battle royals and push people towards signing up for the Network such gives them 60 instead of 1 minute to subscribe between going off USA and the main card.
In that second hour tonight I would have put the CW title match, the Joe squash, and perhaps the Raw Tag titles. Stay the main show at 5, trim a half hour (commercials/pointless segments like the Hogan one), and be done by 10 leading into a short "post event" bit of coverage. The way tonight ended was pretty damn close to the emptiness feel of the series finale of the Sopranos.

Pretty chicken shite for Vince to book an extremely screwed up end to the main event... imagine the outrage if Vince did that with Kofi-Goatboy in the main event?!?? If they really wanted to go with a gimmicky result to keep everyone strong and launch into XXXVI they should have done something similar to the DX-NWO/Sting angle. With no DQ bring in the NXT & MMA Horsewomen. Bazler takes Charlotte out, Boss & Hug cancel out Duke and their 4th (can't remember the name.) Let Becky get the clean pin and put the result on the stuff outside the ring. They then can have a slow burn into next year's 4-on-4 penultimate match.
As for the rest... done matches should have been longer, some shorter. I still don't know why in the hell the whole thing with the pre-match attack on Seth.

These two work and sell better.

It wasn't the best NXT TakeOver ever (high bar to clear).
But it was extremely great and again casts a shadow on a bloated, B+ Wrestlemania.
Excited to see what Raw and SD offer here.

they went full blown SJW by having 120lb women main event their biggest show and it sucked

Becky is the most over wrestler in the company. Evolution was the best show last year. They deserved the main event.
Just a crap finish. Match was quite good until then. Shame, Becky deserved better.
Felt like they rushed the finish due to time.

just like with most of the recent wrestlemanias, it's basically 7 freaking hours of show and by the end there is just fan fatigue. People are tired, it's late on a Sunday and their attention is just not as sharp.
Add in the clunky finish and you're going to see a lot of (unwarranted) criticism about the women main eventing.
The show overall was great. How can you not be happy for Kofi, Seth, and Becky??!!

The show was way too long. The fact they got the crowd into the main event is a testament to them.
Rousey also wrestled with a broken hand last night.
With a better finish the crowd would have erupted
Seemed like it was setting up Becky/Rousey in the future.

Too many Face victories (can't believe I'm saying that).
And way too damn long.

Lol, who didn't see that coming? CM Punk needs to come back and be a Heel again

I wouldn't hold my breath on that one.

It was a ref botch that I'm sure will be worked into the storyline.

Pretty sure Charlotte screwed up her knee and they had to improvise the ending. The US title match and either the IC or drew/Roman match should have been on the preshow.
I said WWE needed to do have 4 outcomes to have a good Mania and all 4 happened.

And what, then, would the final match be in that saga?

How about they schedule WrestleMania like a single-ticket doubleheader? Two three-hour sessions split by an hour break. Let ticket-buyers know which matches are in which half. Minor matches in the first segment; bigger matches in the second.
Retro-booking last night’s matches into two sessions:
1
Murphy vs Nese
Hawkins/Ryder vs Revival
Men’s battle royale
Women’s battle royale
Bar vs Black/Ricochet vs Nakamura/Rusev vs Usos
Boss ‘n’ Hug vs Iiconics vs Jax/Tamina vs Natalya/Phoenix
Joe vs Mysterio
Orton/Styles
2
Lesnar vs Rollins
McMahon vs Miz
Bryan vs Kingston
McIntyre vs Reigns
Batista vs HHH
Angle vs Corbin
Bálor vs Lashley
Flair vs Lynch vs Rousey

People have been begging for a Saturday/Sunday event for the last few years.
In fact, the Universal Championship should close out Saturday and the WWE Championship close out Sunday.
Make Takeover Thursday and WWE HOF Friday.
Raw obv still remains on Monday after.
No one gets tired and every match can have some time.
There should never be a fricking squash match at WM.

I'd like to see a 2 hour preshow and 3 hour "main show"
Do more matches and fewer interview/packages on the preshow and then get on with it.
Maybe throw in a good title match on the preshow as well
