Every single business now wants you to take a survey after dealing with them. Sick of this crap! They couldn’t be more annoying! They send texts, emails and on a call they always ask if you’d be willing to take a ‘short’ survey after the call.
Someone told me once that when they ask if you’re willing to take a survey after the call always respond......YES!
Then just hang up after the call before the survey.
He said when they know you have agreed to participate in a survey after the call they will sometimes be extra diligent in dealing with you.

Or..... you could just say no and go about your day

Sounds like you should have taken their survey to give them feedback on their survey.

If you want an honest answer, it's because companies try to standardize hiring/firing/promotion/wages ect and information like that is easy to digest in court.

How about just ignore. Its really not that hard and definitely not worth getting your panties in a wad for.

Dude... Go beat off or something cause this is a ridiculous rant.

Honestly, answering these deemphasizes google's strangehold on consumer data. You should want more companies doing it more often, or they'll just buy info from amazon and google.

These are basically cover your arse surveys that provide a positive feedback loop for whoever in the company needs it or wants it. Most people who respond will be those who had positive experiences and that’s been proven in studies. By an outsized margin.
ETA: Obviously if it’s a customer experience survey. It’s like how you feel pressured to press 5 stars on the Circle K screen at the front of the store even if it’s just an average gas station experience.

God forbid they try to get better at what they do based on feedback

I’m trying to beat off! But then I get one of their stupid arse texts that breaks my concentration! So therefore this is a very worthwhile rant!

I think it's just you. No businesses asked me to do a survey today

I am going to hate myself later but I have to agree with OP on this. They used to offer you a discount or a free donut or some shite but now they just piledrive your email and text. Which is why I always give fake contact info when asked.
Delta will email you and remind you three or four times that you haven't taken the survey. If I don't take it after the first two times you ask, take the hint and move on.
