Is this place basically a grown folks lounge?

Someone was killed recently leaving there due to the parking like this. I thought they put up signs saying no parking on the shoulder.

I went there in July of this year and the environment was fine. I thought it was cool that BR had that sort of spot now…never existed in that area when I was living in BR.

They built up a reputation during COVID as the cool new college bar. They were the only place allowed to stay open due to their outdoor patio area. Oasis brought in a bar manager with ties to LSU Greeks.

Greeks use it to escape LSU Admin monitoring their parties

It def gets ratchet on Wednesday’s but they still host volleyball leagues.

I played in a league at Oasis for years, a large portion of the volleyball crews have migrated over to Mangos.

They have open mic karaoke one of the nights during league play and blast the karaoke over the courts instead of actual music. I’ve heard it’s miserable. It almost seems like they are trying to run off the volleyball crowd and just stick to being whatever it is they are going for, the current ownership is very different from the ones that originally existed with the volleyball portion

My kid worked there for her senior year in high school. While she was there the owner and the volleyball guy got into a fight and volleyball dude quit. I think the volleyball dude came back and the leagues are going again. My kid quit because she said it was getting pretty wild in there.

Yeah I saw he was back there. Pure rumor but I heard the falling out was over serving under age college kids but his walking upset a lot of people.

Well, I hope Mango's doesn't ever look at Oasis and think they should shift their model in that direction.

My kid never knew the real reason why. She liked working there at first but she said it just became a club and just drunk kids all over the place and it was out of control.

. Nah. Oasis has the BRAAS leagues which are older guys. The host family night. Mangos has kids running all over the place. It’s wayyyyy more family friendly than oasis.

Way inaccurate

Mangos is the established place that’s safe and fun for all ages

Oasis sought to take some market share from mangos. Their first business model failed so they turned towards hosting night life events to pay the bills. It took on a whole momentum that the owners weren’t expecting but certainly won’t turn away $$$

The Oasis needs to be shut down. That place has gone off the rails. There have been many, many incidents tied to that place recently.

It appears that the Oasis is under new ownership or they have taken an entirely different route in their business strategy. This does not look like the Oasis I’ve went to for dinner and drinks.

That said, based on the volume of people on the Instagram posts, I foresee trouble in the future if some drunk individuals decide they don’t like each other.

Wonderful. Broadmoor class of '81 is planning on having their 40th reunion there in October

Thankfully it will not be done during a home game weekend.

They do a pretty good job at changing identities from night to night, your class reunion won’t look anything like that video
