That makes perfect sense. What I cant wrap my head around is the push from leaders to go get tested just because.

Or maybe people are saying if you don't have symptoms don't get tested. Stop being scared and just go on with your life. I know some of you just want to test positive for a facebook post

Maybe they have to get tested because they have a family member who could die from the virus.
Ever think of anyone but yourself, moron?

I'm all for testing symptomatic and testing those who have been around confirmed cases (contact tracing). Testing people just to test gives people who test negative a false sense of security. A test only tells if you're infected at the time the test was taken.

I’ve always wondered why lines go on forever at the drive up testing. It makes no sense. Then I talk to my liberal neighbor and they go spend 3 hours everyday getting tested. They really feel like it’s required and that they are doing it to protect everyone else. Everyday....with zero symptoms, they go get tested. Talk about a cuck.

Things that never happened for $1000 Alex.

Because some people care about not getting others sick.

WTF do people keep getting tested?
Because they are still dumb enough to believe the current senior leader of the Mask Wearers and Testing Peoples Socialist Republic Regime of Public Health Security and Enforcement.

Southern University is hosting an event Saturday, July 25 in which families in need can get food and get tested for COVID-19.
The event is scheduled from 9 to 11 a.m. at the F.G. Clark Activity Center on Southern’s campus. Organizers from the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank plan to distribute 1,500 boxes of food to families in need. Those attending are required to wear face masks and remain in their cars for the drive-thru event, which will be held in the parking lot of the activity center.

We need more tests. Tons of people are infected with no symptoms. We need to show a lot of people have the virus that don't require hospitalization.
It honestly doesn't matter
We know that's happening. We know Florida cases are surging but deaths and hospitalizations are staying manageable.
But it doesn't matter, the media is running "blood on Desantis hands!" pieces right and left even thought there isn't a single metric available to show how NY, NJ, etc. has outperformed TX, FL, etc.
It's a charade.

This might be the stupidest thing I've seen posted.
Problem isn't with getting a test. Problem is with understanding the meaning of the results.

I was tested because of a sinus infection- Dr wanted to be sure I was Covid negative, the only sign I had was congestion. Test results took 11 damn days. BR

Stopped by the Fire Station near my house to take my trash off. The man working the drop site was about 70, looked like he had 5 teeth in his mouth and probably smoked 3 packs a day.
Just casually asked him how he was doing as I threw a few bags in the dumpster. He looked at me and with a shite eating grin said, "Got one of those virus tests last week". "Negative". "I dont have that shite". Like it was some kind of badge of honor.
I knew we were doomed from that one encounter. We are so fricked
