250 KwH supercharging stations every 75-125 miles that will sufficiently charge your car in 15-25 minutes.
are they really that prevalent?
honest question because i haven paid attention to that when traveling.

An EV can’t be your only car. It fits in nicely with a family when one person drives the EV and the other has a larger gas powered the entire family can fit it.
Exactly. Great for a daily commuter car.

Or short road trips. I’m fine with Houston to San Antonio in an EV because the one top off stop is where we would stop anyway and the autonomous driving is worth the extra 15 minutes.

I will chalk up her bad decisions to being a woman.

EVs are great for city dwellers. This type of trip is not something a city dweller would do in the real world.
That’s great, but if I’m paying a premium for a car I’d like for it to be able to go anywhere. Probably why I don’t live in a city
Just seems crazy to me that you’re paying a premium and are some ways handicapped.

I felt the same when I rented a corvette and it wouldn't fit 2x4x8's. Stupid car is useless.

I don’t drive anywhere really but around town, mostly to and from work. EV charging station at my office too. It would save me some cash for sure. I’m in the market.
We use my wife’s vehicle for all family road trips.

On a 500 mile trip, you're probably only adding on an additional 20 - 40 minutes in a Tesla
And with a 35 gallon tank on my pickup truck, I can do that and then some.
Build a reliable half ton truck that can do 400 miles pulling 5000#s and then I'll look. Until then I'll be a heathen and burn gas.

Ding. Ding. A woman rents an EV to drive cross country for the first time and we surprised there were issues?
Misjudging the cars range? That is the cars fault? You wouldn’t have this planned out before leaving?

This I get for sure. I think basically it would have to come down to a significant savings on gas.

I recently took a 10 hour road trip, I ran the same trip through the Tesla trip planner on their web site. I tried several routes. The quickest required 12 hours, with three charging stops of 65, 55, and 10 minutes. It would require using a route I had no interest in traveling. One of the charging stops was not within walking distance of any facility with a restroom or food.

How much is a fast charge station to install? Kinda surprised it’s not a bigger market from a purely capitalism perspective. Charge $50 to charge and add one next to some interstate gas stations where there’s dead zones.
I've been surprised Cracker Barrel hasn't added them. Their model generally has them with large parking lots and lots of interstate exposure (making them easy to find and access). This seems like a perfect marriage for EV travelers looking for a place to charge and food (or even just to top off their charging while they eat).

Thats my issue with EVs. They're awesome for this city, there's not many miles of roads. In fact we have more per capita than any other city, but if I want to take a road trip up north it would be a big hassle.

Not really. It is hiding your costs in subsidies (that you are paying for) and end of life depreciation (weak batteries).
