When you say "fake shite," yes, the outcomes are pre-determined. And yes, punches are pulled, and moves are exaggerated for dramatic effect.
But with that said, being a wrestler today requires a lot of athleticism, mistakes happen, and people do legitimately get hurt. Muscles and ligaments tear, bones break, and performers get concussions. It's not a profession I would choose, but I do appreciate the training and work that those who do wrestle put into the business.

Sting Jr is in his mid 30s. Fairly new to wrestling but definitely not young. No one called that spot stupid when they did it in WWE.

It was stupid not necessarily because of the spot itself, but because Steven has been doing this for less than a year and both wrestlers fricked it up from the very beginning.
On the previous page I posted a tweet with both spots side by side. People give Logan shite for rehearsed matches, but you can tell he and ricochet had practiced that spot many times before the match. I don't think he and Kevin rehearsed it at all and it resulted in two injuries. Those factors make it a stupid spot.

The only thing I can figure is he landed on his head. I didn’t see any physical contact between the two.

His head bounced off the mat when landed. And that was like the dudes 3rd or 4th match ever. They had no business attempting that at all. Just have him do the basics (he has an incredible dropkick) until he's fully trained.

They were supposed to meet in the middle for a mid air clothes line then spin and both land flat on their backs -- distributing the impact. Because they fricked up the spot from the beginning, jumped from the wrong spot, they never quite met, so Steven caught a forearm to the chin and landed from about 5-6 feet high directly on the back of his head.

It's a stupid spot for experienced wrestlers. It's exceptionally stupid for a guy that has had less than like 8 matches in his entire wrestling career. I don't even necessarily blame Steve there. It should have never even been green lighted or attempted.

He was wrestling dark matches for months before he made it on tv. He's at about the same experience level as Logan Paul when he did that move.
