yep, how different would things have been had the ship been sunk the week before?
The bomb was locked in a crate, bolted to the floor in a stateroom. The two people watching it wore army uniforms, yet had the insignia on wrong add the navy men on board knew they had a special mission from the top.
The last tour of that ship is very interesting.
There were conspiracy theories years ago too.

I read a book on this too a long time ago but I forgot the name of it. For BR folks, Old Man Coleman from Coleman Toyota was a survivor from the Indianapolis. People that worked with him always said he was one of the meanest son of a bitches they had ever met. I wonder if those days at sea made him that way or if he was always an a-hole.
