I was stuck on 190 for 3 hours yesterday. So sick of this crap every holiday weekend.

I was in East Feliciana Parish heading back to my house in Lafayette.
Ended up going across new bridge in St Francisville, across Morganza Spillway and hit I-49 south to Lafayette.

I wasn't about to sit on 190. Thank God for Waze!

Why are there so many debilitating wrecks on that stretch than on, say, the Bonnet Carre. One reason obviously is that it's twice the length so twice the opportunity, but still....

It took me almost 3 hours to get from BR to Livonia. I got past hwy 77/76 and saw people start turning around, so I followed them back to 77/76. It went to I-10 (after about 10 miles or roller coaster turns) and when I got there it was opened. Traffic was heavy the rest of the night, but not too bad.

I didn't see them diverting or alerting people that the Interstate was back open, but it was around 11 pm. So maybe it just re-opened. Hopefully nothing like that happens today..

18 wheeler carrying soap is on fire.

Looked like fireworks when I passed heading East.....

ETA: there was a police escort of a trash truck heading east in the westbound lanes.... When I got there was a bobcat scooping up all the trash and dumping it. Gonna be a hefty bill for some BAW..
