1. Yes, for about a year or two tops. Would get old after that, and would be looking to go back to the previous schedule again.
2. Brace yourself for what Uncle Sam takes out your check while making double.

Double pay would make it worth it . Would take a while to get used to

10 to 6 is tough because nothing is open on either end to get stuff done. But for double? Yup.
You get home at 6:30 and go to bed by 7. Sleep till 2-3. Then you have several hours until you go back to work. Would make it easy for dental/doctor’s appointments or anything else with M-F only hours. Would never need to take time off work for stuff like that...just do afternoon appointment or early am and sleep after.

Would you work nights for double your salary?
That's a tough one - but I think I would pass on it.
If it was just temporary, like for a year...then maybe.
If it was permanent, then hell no. Working nights basically would turn my life upside down.

Sleep all day long, never get to see your spouse, rarely get to talk to your children, days off mean nothing because everyone is asleep when you're wide awake...…… Yeah, but I get more $$$$$
Money aint everything.

No way for 5 days a week with kids. I’d consider 3 12s or 4 10s though.
There’s a reason it pays more...it sucks.
As said, think about Saturdays. You work until 6am or whatever then sleep all day. No Saturday morning ball games of your kids...
You miss any sort of lunch things. If your kids have a school event or whatever during the week, you should be sleeping.
Now if you get an extra day off that’s one thing as you can have some flexibility.

Yes. Definitely.
Less of your numbnut co-workers around and less murderous thoughts toward them. At least in my case.

Yes. Can’t sleep anyway. May as well make as much money as possible.

Where is your spouse every evening? You don’t go to work till 10 pm. You can have dinner with your family every evening and put the kids to bed before heading to work.
I worked nights (3 12s) for 16 years. Saw my spouse plenty. Worked with several people that had kids and they made it work just fine.

Not at all. Too many critters out on the ROW at night for it to be worth it

Absolutely.
I'd be home to help get my kids and wife ready for their day.
Then I'd sleep while they were at school/work.
I'd then be able to spend all evening with them till they went to bed and I would go to work.
Would work out beautifully.

Maybe for a few years and pay my house off. It would be tough with a kid though. I don't think i'd want to do it long term until my daughter is out of the house.

You are different than them... better, smarter. Why are they like that? Why do they do things that thwart your efforts to do the right things? They are evil people... the way they laugh at you during the day... smirks, whispers... YOU should teach them a lesson.
