My mother is responsible for her own actions and frankly someone has already attempted to kill her by shooting her (She survived). My mom has made a lot of enemies. I am not going to defend her actions if she is in the wrong but will defend her if it was self defense or an accident.
However a person who was very dear to me did have a situation where they had to kill someone to defend their life (and the lives of others). I would never dream of turning them in and didn't give a flip about the POS they killed. Even though my loved one was in the right, it traumatized them badly. I would defend them to my last breath and would kill for them as well.
