Would you trade today's life to live in a different decade?

If you could give up all the modern conveniences and technology of today to permanently go back and live in a different time, would you do it?
Catch is that you would know and remember the technology you gave up (couldn't tell anyone of course or profit from the knowledge), so you'd always know what you gave up.

Everyone should experience the 80's.

I think late 70s, early 80s would be perfect. Not too much technology, but not the stone age

I’d rather have penicillin and get away from today’s technology if going back in time

I'd gladly go back to the 50's. It was a golden time for people like me

I'd rather be in my prime during the 90s.

When did modern AC become a non-luxury item?
And was college cheap during that point in time?

I’d like to raise my kids in the 80’s

I lived the 80’s. The best decade of my life. But I would have loved to have been in my teens and 20’s in the 50’s.

No.
I don’t want to be drafted into a war.
I enjoy the technological and medical progress that we’ve made.
Traveling and seeing the world is easier than ever.
I like this time period, even if young Americans are trying to send us backwards with regressive ideas from the past that have led to tragedy and despair everywhere they’ve taken root.

80’s give you both. I can only fairly comment on the times in which I’ve lived. 80’s for me.

The only stipulation given, is that I cannot tell anyone, nor profit from the knowledge of the technology given up. That doesn’t mean that I cannot profit from other endeavors with knowledge of the future (knowing future political climates, future sporting events, etc)
