Would you rather hair or erection- Finasteride Response Thread

Created this profile a few days ago when I saw people debating whether the possible side effects from Finasteride are worth keeping your hair.
I take Finasteride (5 years now) and I'm telling you that Propecia (Finasteride) works and I had no problems with getting/maintaining an erection and still have my hair. Temples are a bit receded but not bad.
The odds of getting side effects is something like 3 in 100. The reason you see so many stories online with people complaining about it is because the only people complaining are the ones who had side effects. Those of us who had success with it are out living our lives and don't care beyond when friends ask if they should get on it.
The only side effect I had was 'watery' semen and that was listed as one of the most common.
When you go to the dermatologist for it, get the 5 mg and split the pill into 4ths. A lot more cost efficient than buying the 1 mg pills
Any other questions, let me know.

I get finasteride from Keeps. Easy to do and fairly cheap. Anyway been taking it for a year and a half with no side effects at all. Hair has stopped falling out and seems a bit thicker. Sex drive, etc no change. I tried the minoxidil but quit using it. Do not like the way it feels in my hair. May start getting their shampoo/conditioner. Have heard good things. Good luck to you my man. Getting sunburned on top of the head socks. Lol

Shrinks your prostate. I’ve always been blessed with a full head of hair but I have a big shite prostate. Fineasteride cut my PSA numbers in half.
Mine was prescribed by a Urologist.

Welllll, if that were me I wouldn’t want to post it under my usual profile, because from then on the rant would never let me forget it.

I’m dumb. What kind of doctor do I need to go to for this?

Why wouldn't they just prescribe Viagra/Cialis with it to balance things out?

My GP prescribed mine. Beware it can be expensive under the propecia name. It’s much cheaper as a prostate medicine but you have to break tabs. If you join the Kroger prescription club ($75/yr for family) it’s $6 for a 3 month supply of propecia though.
No problems with getting it up or keeping it up. It has decreased the volume of loads though. But I’m out of the baby making phase so I guess that’s ok.

where to go to get prescribed
As another poster said, your GP, or the dermatologist. Once again, get the 5mg and split the pill instead of buying the 1mg.
