Would you rather earn your wealth or inherit by cheesesteak501 Inherit. Just because you inherit doesn't mean you still can't work hard.

Easily inherit. I could always work if I wanted to but if the amount was enough and I received it at 21 I probably wouldn't.

Earn early, inherit late.
Extra for retirement/retire early!

anyone in their right mind would rather inherit at a young age and build upon that inheritance

Inherited...invest...earn.
Posted on 1/29/16 at 12:02 pm to Grandioso
Earn it.
I don't know a single person who inherited wealth who doesn't have some sizable issues.
It makes you a weird person. Sort of like being an only child does.

Do you not know any successful, wealthy people? Lots of them are really weird.
Meticulous to the point of insanity, antisocial, paranoid, fantasize about being dominated, all kinds of shite

I've always been pretty frugal, so I don't envision myself blowing all my money even if inheriting it at 21, so I'd choose that option.
Most people though would be better off taking option A I believe.

Being dominated is a new experience. If you think about it, it's empowering.

Current value of money is greater than the future value of money.
