Would you prefer to live in New Iberia or New Orleans (and why)?

What about old Iberia vs old Orleans?

I say old Orleans because they're probably more likely to speak English than Iberians.

The Sugarcane Fesitval! Hi Suga!!

Home of George Rodrigue/Blue Dog & James Lee Burke/Dave Robichaux.

Jefferson Island

Avery Island

Tabasco (on tables all over the world...including most restaurants...even in tiny Japanese village near Mt. Fuji). A reminder of home, everywhere you go. Get the Family Reserve...its worth the extra $.

I’m originally from New Iberia and only go back to visit what family I have left there. Louisiana will always be home, but we have no plans to ever move back.

Nah!

Greatly overstated. Lots of good people still in the Berry. Lots of FUN growing up there. Lots of people TD posters would love to hang out with. Lots of non-New Iberia haircuts too!

If you’re a dude, threatening to kill yourself when your lady tries to leave you.

I’ve known 3 idiots from NI that have done this. All 3 suck pretty badly.

One area The Berry has NOLA beat = its Fearless Leader.

New Iberia's mayor, Freddie DeCourt is a great man and doing a great job. The guy has it together and NI couldn't ask for a better mayor.

New Orleans...welp, we all know the story there. Possibly the worst mayor of a major city in the USA. At least bottom 5. Turrible. Drive around uptown and look at the real estate. It is astonishing that such a twit is in charge of that city.

That is pretty damn unique. How many other places can you really say that about?
