Foos. Less risk of a puck flying off the table.

Both are fun though. I had a Foosball table but after the first month it really didn't get played much.

We had a little video poker machine like this when I was growing up. People paid for a ton of snowballs when I was a kid.

Neither. Get a pool table

If space isn't an issue and I had to pick just one:

1. Ping pong table
2. Pool table
3. Table shuffleboard
4. Foosball
5. Air hockey

ETA: and air hockey is a distant 5th. I just don't think it is that fun after a couple plays.

Agreed with the comment for foosball but that it has to be a Tornado. I grew up in Lafayette and played a lot during high school and college. Got to the point of being decent although nowhere near the level of the best Laffy players (I think some of them are considered 'pro').

Foosball is the only 'bar game' that can give that immense adrenaline rush when you are playing against friends of similar ability with everyone talking smack - 'tinny tin tin' with those shots that make the loud noise.

This. The rest you need breaks in the action to drink while playing. Shuffleboard you can sling pucks with one hand and drink with the other all with a few bucks on the line each game.
