Would you eventually become a predator if society collapsed?

Post-apocalyptic scenario, society has completely broken down.

At some point food and supplies get very scarce, almost non-existant. If you came upon someone with something that you or you family needed, would you take it by force?

Absolutely. Video games have hardened me to the plight of the weak in post apocalyptic worlds. Survival of the fittest.

Anyone else read this as child predator before they opened the thread? Society today has taken that word to mean something specific.

No, I would just let my family starve to death...

WTF kinda question is this? Who the frick wouldn't take it in that scenario?

If you're gonna ask completely off the wall questions on here, then at least ask realistic off the wall questions.

Yep, and it wouldn't take much. I've considered killing and eating one of my kids before when the electricity was out for like six hours.

What do you mean Eventually? Hell if the power goes out for more than 30 minutes I'm taking to the streets to claim stuff for myself. My own Manifest Destiny.

No, and you wouldn't get it by force, either.

Everything depends. Depends on what it is and how bad the need. Also, depends on my read of the person.

Of course. Also would be neutralizing anyone we saw, regaurdless, to keep them from deciding they need something from me.

I imagine you would slowly pick apart their favorite movie line up and dismiss them all as shite movies. This would result in an argument that they probably aren't prepared for, side tracking them long enough for you to club them over the head with a DVD copy of "Pulp Fiction".

If it's a matter of survival for me and my family? Damn straight I'd become a predator.
