I need to see the production version. The styling of the concept is a little extreme for me.

I really think the only real change we'll see in terms of style is it'll be 5% smaller than the prototype.

I would be surprised if the headlights and wheels won’t change. You are right that Tesla usually sticks to the concept design.

This is really only applicable to people with working electricity outside of Texas.

It would take a week to drive across Texas in this thing.

The current EV charging infrastructure is a complete joke.

Yea, I was probably thinking more big ticket items, but it is style, so you were right as I'm certain the steering wheel and lights will change as well.

I put down a deposit on a Dual Motor model. I honestly don't want to take delivery until August/Sept 2022 though.

My truck can go about 600 miles on a tank, and it only takes minutes to fill it back up. No thanks.

The former needs to cut in half and the latter needs to triple before I could even consider this.

There it is, you like to waste money. Most people don't buy a new vehicle just because. This pushing people to get rid of their gas vehicle and purchase electric is financially stupid. Maybe push it on younger generations, but why would I buy a new vehicle when the one I have is working fine. Even for the average commuter, that the ev would be fine for, it would be a financial loss to buy a new vehicle when their current one runs fine.

Yea, that's not at all how that works.

1 car, $20/month additional, and that's on 12k or so miles per year. Just a tad different than "double or triple"

Funny guy

I don't give a shite what kind of car you drive nor am I pushing you to do anything, you seem to have no clue what you're talking about and are just rambling for the sake of rambling right now.

Is you car or house the absolute cheapest possible car/house you could possibly get? If not, you're wasting money. That's your logic you're spewing right now.

Most people don't buy a new vehicle just because.

Why are you saying things that are quite simply not correct? Most people 100% do not only buy a vehicle when their current one craps out, you know that, so why are you randomly making stuff up that isn't even so?

I've owned my current car for under 2 years. If I take out purchase price/taxes/upgrades/monthly payments, once I sell it I will essentially break even with the "profit" over purchase price, but tell me more about all that money I wasted by having a car almost 2 years and recouping close to every penny I paid on that car.

In fairness to them - does your car refuel in your garage while you sleep

I'd much rather fuel up my car once a week at a fraction of the time. Probably cheaper too, rather than charging something that size every single night from here on out.

Speaking of weak gotchas...uhh...where are you getting the gas to do that?
Umm, like I said, I have gas cans.

quote:

It's wayyyyy easier to plug in in your garage compared to going to a gas station to get gas, plus you can start every single day with a "full tank." Explain how that is a weak gotcha, but maybe not using the gas can example as that was a no go.
Ok- like I said, Entergy etc is asking people to turn shite off and the thermostats down right now, and some places are doing rolling blackouts. So let's say you lose power a few days, what then? Plugging it in doesn't do shite.

If I lost power today (again), I still can take my gas can and top off the tank.

We're not talking just daily convenience, we're talking about when you might need your vehicle the most. Times like now, after hurricanes etc.

Nope, much cheaper charging at home. About 4 or 5x cheaper for me.

Do you not understand how rolling blackouts work?

Also, it's mostly snowed in everywhere, what need to I have to drive 300 miles today?

If I lost power today, I could easily find literally any 1 of hundreds of places to charge my car, but again why would I need to, I woke up with a fully charged car, so why do I need to charge my car?

Lol and I am the funny guy? Is your car sold yet? You will not sell a 2 year old car for what you originally paid for it. Maybe in a perfect market for your car, but that is extremely rare.

You're correct.

The avg sales price for my car right now today is about $1-2k less than my purchase price in March of 2019.

But again, tell me more about all that wasted money

My truck has been paid off for years. The money you will lose when you sell your vehicle will cancel out the money you saved on fuel cost and then some.
