Has GM figured out cylinder deactivation yet? No? Then I’ll pass. Looks like a nice truck to sit in while you wait for the tow truck to come flatbed you to the dealership to have your lifters replaced at 1200 miles
I had the earliest version of this technology in my Silverado about 15 years ago. It went 185,000 miles before I sold it. The truck never saw a flatbed.

The system uses a host of sensors, radar and cameras to steer, accelerate and brake automatically within the vehicle’s lane.
A GM system? Lol, hell no. They managed to take one of the world's best V8 engines and taught it to crash the valves into the pistons!

My Silverado has 275,000 miles on it. Show me the 2024 or 2026 and I'll let you know if it is for me. The one I drive at the moment is just getting into it's prime. My biggest worry at the moment is whether to waste money on a replacement serpentine belt, when I can find no noticeable failure in the one that came on it when new. To add a bitch, I have replaced the dang tires 4 or 5 times. Still has factory brake pads.

Looks awesome. Especially the inside.
And front and rear lockers is a feature that most off road trucks don’t even have.

Same, they never left me on the road anywhere.

Not unless they put the bicycle reflector back on the fenders

Used the same 10 speed as the Fords. So that’s probably a legitimate risk.
Ford’s lose a lot of parts.

I certainly would.
I don't think I would buy one though.

Pride Blue was an interesting choice for the press photos.

OMG…interior is less sh!tty than it used to be! The dash doesn’t look like it’s giving birth to the infotainment screen anymore?!?!

Largest infotainment screen in the class
The only autonomous driving capability in the class (Highway only, with or without a trailer).
The only half ton with front and rear lockers.
The base engine on the poverty grade models still produce 420 lb ft of torque.
They did a great job IMO. And that interior looks awesome.
So far it’s between this and the new 2022 Tundra for me.

ANY Tundra, Tacoma is vastly better & more reliable than anything GM makes & I’m not liking the pics so far of ‘22 Tundra

including the addition of GM’s Super Cruise hands-free highway driving system.
And the first pic they show is the damn thing on top of a mountain.

The ZR2 adds to the Silverado’s eight other models that range from three work-focused pickups to the top-end High Country that can surpass $70,000.
I like to laugh at people who pay that for a truck, immediately throw a cover on the bed, never haul anything, and never take it off road.

Can’t believe they got rid of the column shifter.
