I've always felt that was the best looking car design out of the 80's. Sex on wheels when they first came out.
The TPI 350's weren't terribly slow either. Not face melting fast but nothing was then.
Chevy had a Monte SS test car with a 350TPI in it for development that ran in the 13's easy. Too bad they never built it. The 180HP 305 was not fast. At all.

The 1980s were all like that.
That art-deco style worked well for trucks though. The Ford and Chevy pickups and SUVs from that era looked particularly awesome.
If you don't like the 1980s full sized American trucks...I don't know what to tell you. The above example Bronco was my favorite Ford truck body style ever. They've never topped the early 1980s IMO.

No disagreement here. There's a reason an 80's Bronco can still go for several grand, while you can only get a scrap price for anything that isn't a mint car.

They improved the styling of the fox body Mustang towards the end, but not the performance. They were slow and cheap - but that is the Mustang formula. Almost all of them were sold to young women.
That style was the trailing end of the Mustang's dark days.

They didn't forget as some models did have the passenger side mirror. I honestly do not know for sure but I will take a guess. The passenger side mirror was still considered a luxury/optional in the 60s and 70s. They were not standard until the late 80s

You gave me the idea.
I try to do a mix of old and new cars. Some good, some terrible, and some weird. I already have pictures and back stories on a couple of VW's, a Mercedes-Benz, and a Dodge pickup that I'll post about soon.

When I was 5 my dad had a ranchero, maybe late 60s?As such I’ve always had a soft spot for them.
