This place never ceases to amaze me.

Car is obviously camoflauged and there's like 10 posts about "the ugly paint job"

Nah I've got a MKIV for my weekend toy, but the M2 is a hell of a machine. If the MKV performs similarly to the M2 I will be impressed.

I really hope this car is a winner, but the speculation and leaks make it seem like this will be the next nsx. Decent car, but wayyyyy overhyped and not fitting of the name.

The GTR was able to overcome throwing heritage in the trash can because it annihilated everything on the track and gave you hypercar performance for ~100k.

What do you think the final HP and TQ numbers will be on the i6?

At the estimated 50k and up price tag, it better hit S14uspence's numbers or it might be DOA no matter how good it looks.

Except here in DFW they are still marked up 10k +.

The exhaust note of the MKV sounds like the M2 though. Even the pops

That's insane. Shop around, no point in dealing with a local dealer if they act like that. Order custom spec and take delivery in Munich then take second delivery in South Carolina and drive it home.

I was liking it till I saw "BMW/Toyota joint chassis." Sounds like it will be in the shop more than on the road.

This is why I am concerned about the HP and Price tag. A lot of folks are thinking exactly what you said earlier.

"If I can even get an M2 at 55k, why should I buy this car that's 60k and possibly get less."

Doesn’t look anything like any other car on the road, but it does look drastically over styles with lots of fake vents and awkward creases.
Just like current lexuses.

If it looks like that, I won’t drive it. That thing looks like it was designed by a 12 year old.

Wish they would do a proper twin turbo.

That's not a RC F

But yes, they do look similar.

That front end still looks horrible, and the RC is one of the better executed examples of the new Lexus paper airplane/predator look.

The only get worse from there.

The 2019 Avalon and 2019 Camry look terrible as well. Toyota really shouldn’t push the envelop with styling. They just aren’t very good at it. They should stick with handsome, contemporary, and slightly bland cars.

The original Supra was beautiful in its simplistic, well engineered package. I hope they don’t make it fussy like the new Lexus products.

A well engineered car with perfect assembly quality doesn’t need styling gimmicks to be beautiful. That’s something Lexus used to know.

The same crowd that thinks a new Mustang, Charger or Camaro are "sports" cars.

What a silly thing to say... The new Mustangs are pretty kick-arse sports cars.
A new GT straight off the lot has 460 HP and can do 0-60 in under 4 seconds.

When I was a kid, the hottest car you could buy was a Ferrari Testarossa... with 385 HP, 0-60 in 5.0 sec.
The new mustang is lighter and pulls more lateral g's than that Ferrari.
The Mustang is a better sports car than the best Ferrari of 20 years ago. And the Mustang will be a good daily driver for 10 years. Amazing what you can get for cheep these days!
Though I will admit, the Ferrari probably had better leather in the interior.

I actually really love the RC-F. But I get it, the design is not for everyone.

In fact, most fans of the brand have been begging for a vehicle that has RC-F numbers but lighter weight.

The A90 may be that vehicle. Time will tell.

Comparing it to a 20 year old sports car may not be the best defense.

Compare it to say an M3. Which is does hold up well against.
