Don't crowd the doctor in the room while they are treating their patient and it won't happen.

she was never treated by this doctor or one of his associates how the frick did he know about this super extra personal STD???

The manager said the pos doc had to go look at her medical records. Not a std, she can't have children and just found out last week. She was waiting for her husband to get back home before she told him .

Very confusing but if that isn't friend's doctor, friend should just act stupid and say doc is just BS'ing because that isn't my doc. Hell the doc might have been playing around guessing and friend has outed herself.

Yes it's a violation. Contact the state medical licensing board and lodge a complaint. It's stupid of the doctor to do this and his license deserves a hit for it.

How would he see her medical records if they are at another doctor's office in another city?

Its very personal and she is highly upset. The doc was being an a-hole because he was wrong. He didn't like to be questioned about mil prescription and was pissed when it was his error.

This.... Unless it's a branch of her home MD's office.. Either way it doesn't make sense. Why would this Dr. randomly go look up her chart for info...

I still don't see him going look up her chart info for that. Never known any doc to do that especially for something sounding so trivial.

If the doctors worked for the same organization they probably share electronic medical records. He could easily pull up her chart up quickly because she has the same last name as her MIL.

If he was doing that just to be a dick, then I would agree that he needs to be reported.

I have no idea why . Hell , the manager is trying to figure that out too. Manager told my friend that she had to ask mil doc a medical question about herself. But she didn't ask anything about herself.,

This was the mil doctor only. My friend was never treated by this doc . My friends doc is located in another town.

So your friend is hot and the friends doc and MILs doc were standing around one day while your friend was there and the MILs doc said

"I would like to get all up in that"

when your friends doc said

"that bitch has herpes and genital warts"

Both doctors work for the same group. It's in the OP.

That's what I'm wondering. If he said something like, "No wonder you don't have kids" or "It's a good thing you don't have kids" when she corrected him about his prescription mistake, then that's just rude, not a privacy violation.

Why is you friend hiding her aids from her mother in law?

ETA: sorry, just saw the part about not being able to have children. That blows

Seems odd. Why would he go out of his way to do this? Did he leave the room at some point and come back in to blurt it out? Something about the story doesn't really add up.

Except she's implying that he knew about her condition prior to her going there with the MIL, if he just commented offhand about her condition when corrected about the prescription. Why would he be checking the records of relatives of his patients? Either way, if he went into her records, that seems like a privacy violation.

But I still wonder what exactly was said.
