I responded earlier but guess I didn't hit "Submit".

My take is this:

I look at the truck and want to check how it was maintained. If by the owner, which I do for all my vehicles, I check the owner's manual for entries for oil and filter changes, fluid changes, tire rotations, any other mechanical work done, etc. to see if it was done regularly and in a timely manner.

If the owner has the work done, I'd like to see receipts for said work.

Also important to me is how the vehicle looks cosmetically. Is the interior clean with normal signs of wear and tear or is it trashed. If trashed, I'll pass because if that can't be done right, then chances are nothing else is done right.

Inspect the vehicle for tire wear, cosmetic fixes like bondo filled dents and a repaint. Check the engine bay to see how the engine is being kept up as far a being fairly clean or does it show signs of oil leaks, water leaks, bad hoses or belts, etc.

I paid $60,000 for one that sits in the driveway 85% of the time.

since I work from home I have only put 10k miles on it in 17 months.

Starting to think it was a bad waste of money.

Toyota Tundra in a heartbeat. May not be enough arse for your camper, but you can sell it and get something lighter.

I've owned 3 Chevys, and they all starting giving me trouble at just over 100k. Full-blown pieces of shite at 200k for the ones that made it that far.

I've owned 1 F-250. Was a piece of shite for the duration. Would not buy a Ford new.

Do yourself a favor: Tundra.

Not a chance

Given this "new world" we seem to be living in I think my personal policy will end in me driving something similiar to what the Clampetts drove if I'm lucky but I'm sorry I'm not paying $100k for a fricking pick up truck idc how much money I have

Anyone ever have experience with the 2.7 ecoboost or the turbomax? Seems like all trucks are going away from a v8
