We should plant trees because it’s a wholesome thing that both helps the environment and boosts the aesthetic and commercial value of our properties.

Not run out in a panic to attempt to forestall doom.

When that tree eventually dies, all of the "stored" co2 gets released right back into the atmosphere during decomposition.

You don’t know what you’re talking about. My post history is accessible in case you want to find examples of what you’re talking about. If you can’t find three, that will be considered admission that you are a massive idiot.

Melt.

Yes, but only if I can cut them down and sell them when they mature.

That's the biggest issue. When our trees hit 20 years we were already having timber companies wanting to chop it down. If prices stay so low we will probably have these pine trees until they start to rot away

By my calculations, if we can get 50 OT members to plant one tree we should be able to stop global warming. I'm starting a movement called operation Tree-50.

Sure. The exercise would do me some good and it's a real solution as opposed to pretending carbon emitted by China is harmless but eating a burger in the US will destroy the planet.

LINK"Would you be willing to plant a tree"

Read what is happening to forest around the world. Trees are growing faster due to slightly higher CO2. Just as it has happened for thousands of years.

I planted over 2500 trees on some property recently, so I got the OT covered.

Was the area cleared and then replanted or just planted?

I'll plant a fricking tree. I mean, not in my back yard or anything, I have 3 trees back there right now. Had 4 until Gustav, but it was a pine tree and I actually like not having that tree there anymore.. But if there is a place that needs a tree planted and someone dug up the hole, sure, I will put the tree in the ground..

I planted trees in my yard for the tree canopy (and lower energy costs).

The environmental benefit is ancillary to me.

Willing to bet I have planted more trees in my lifetime than any of the "climate change" supporters.

I planted 165 acres with trees last year and I’m going to have them cut down in 30 years so the tree huggers can have toilet paper to wipe their asses.

You know what trees offset? CO2. You know what you breathe out? CO2.

Seems like we need less of you.

Global warming is real, but there is nothing we can do about it.

We fricked this planet up. Too many people here, too. Need to have a mass genocide.
