Read my last post
She wants him to suffer with her while disguising it as a treat
If he goes out, she'll probably freak and tell him how unfair that was and he rubbed it in her face on her birthday!

Most regrets in life are for things we didn't do.

Whole bunch of this, imo
She agreed to something without thinking it through and then got upset when she actually stopped to think about what she got herself into (on her birthday). She can’t admit that, bc then I’ll be right, so now I’m the bad guy for even suggesting she fricked herself.

Yup. Take the birthday out of the equation and I would have told her she put herself in the predicament and would have taken the beating that would have come with staying home

Honestly, I don’t think tonight is that big of a deal. It sucks, but part of dealing with women. The ridiculous part, and the part that would make me run from her, is her wanting to get back to go to a pool party.

No,I would not.

Be the hero here, reap the benefits.
When you arrive, tell her you're starving. Talk her into going to somewhere nearby that serves food. Once she gets out, she may change her mind and stay out a few hours.
Bar Marilou is a block away from Ace hotel, serves small plates, and is open until 11 tonight.
BTW, I think I'd take a $200 gamble if I were in your shoes:

If she really is any type of designer or person who works with aesthetics all the more reason to execute my St. Vincent plan. The hotel is as pretty as any hotel in the city. You will be taking her to the next big thing in the city before it’s popular. Believe me I’m not steering you wrong with this plan. Deliver her a great birthday she won’t see coming.

oh, its her Bday tomorrow, so my arse will be there,

Agreed. OP needs to gamble on her agreeing to a better option when she’s standing in it.

I appreciate the advice and I'll most likely go run by there tomorrow morning while shes working. Not quite a designer, but similar field. She would love what you are explaining

I took my wife to the 2008 Final Four (KU fans) - KU wins - she insists that we go back to the hotel and skip the River Walk party. I had to walk her 2 miles back to the hotel and drink a few beers, alone, in the hotel room. We're no longer married.

I honestly cannot wrap my head around people like this. I can't imagine a planet where I wouldn't want to be where the party is.

Well if you don’t go the client would love to give her a birthday gift with a cherry on top

You need to get a bottle of lube on the way to NOLA. I’ve never seen a more clear sign that she is down for you to PIIHB.
