I am currently in a Labor & Employee Relations role based in Charlotte, NC. I have been with this company since last April. I was approached about joining the legal team as an Labor & Employee Relations Manager for a very large corporation.
Pros:
1. 20% increase in pay from by current base salary.
2. Fully remote position so would be able to move wherever we wish. Current role is half remote, half in the office. I hate going to the office.
3. Signing bonus
4. This new company has a much more lucrative 401K program. They match up to 6%.
5. Better yearly bonus. They target 16% of your salary at my level
6. 2 weeks of paternity leave(have a little girl on the way). Current company makes you use your PTO and there is no paternity leave
7. Stock options in year 2, which isn't offered with current company.
8. More options for career growth.
Cons:
1. More travel. Will likely travel around 30%
2. Jumping ship after 9 months
3. I like my current job duties but am not really challenged. This new role would be tougher
4. I really enjoy the people I work with now.
5. Work for a smaller company so there is more room to start initiatives of my own.

Yes.
I hate working for smaller companies.
Besides that, judging by your bullet points I think you’re already leaning towards accepting. I would too.

Seems like a no brainer to me.

This is the only real con you listed, the rest of that stuff is easily replaceable. Are you really going to miss these people that you've known for 9 months or are they just agreeable acquainteds?
If you are fine with the travel the new job is objectively way better. If you hate it after you've been there a while, once we get the money someone else will give it to you to.

Wouldn't think twice about accepting that.
20% raise, good bonus opportunity, better benefits l, and full remote?
That's a no brainer

What's the company? I'll take that position if you don't.

if you are young take the money and move on.
If it was the other way around and your current company had to make cuts their would be no loyalty

Any job is better than living off EBT and my parents allowance.

If this is a con, it seems like you don’t want to be challenged.
They are paying you more to do a tougher job it sounds like. If you don’t want to do the challenging work or it is a con for you, I would stay with your current job. If you want a challenge, it is an incredibly easy decision.
I left my last job because I got my team performing at a high level and to the point where I wasn’t needed. It got incredibly boring and I was not satisfied. I left and started my own business because I was bored and wanted to be challenged.

I did this in early September. My boss understood and told me I could come back if he had not filled my job.
Quit my job of years that I loved. Because I got greedy. Took a 30% pay hike. Better benefits, raises, bonuses, peace, love, and rainbows...blah, blah, blah...
2½ weeks in I walked the frick out. Called my old boss. "Guy I hired to replace you starts October 4."
There was a reason the new job paid so well. It takes that for people to tolerate the bullshite. I just happen to be one of those people that don't need the money that bad.
Now I have a job I can tolerate making 15% less than my old job.

Think long and hard. Those two things mean A LOT.

There's no way to get integrated into a professional job in 2 weeks and if the culture was that bad, it's on you for not being able to sniff that out during an interview.

With a baby on the way, I’d think long and hard about changing to a more difficult job with more travel.
Especially if it’s your first child.

Don't forget the extra 5% when you GTFO of NC and move to a state without income tax.

I am the opposite and hate working for larger companies. With larger companies, it seems like no one ever has a clue what is going on outside of their own tiny little bubble nor do they truly care, hence getting any kind of cross functional task complete takes ages.
Smaller companies often allow you to see the full picture, employees are less selfish and care about the wellbeing of the company as a whole, and it's much easier to cut through the red tape to get things done.

Why is this so hard for some of you to understand? Have you never worked remotely? I've worked with a team of people remotely for months without going into the office.
