Would St. George be to BR what Metairie is to NOLA?

No article for this just an open forum. Metairie for whatever reason isn't incorporated, but I can draw the parallels on how they'd be similar. The crime between Metairie and NOLA is night and day. Alot of people who work in NOLA commute from Metairie or the surrounding areas, similar to how a lot of people who work in BR commute from surrounding areas.

Well, for starters. Metairie is an unincorporated area in another Parish. St. George would be an incorporated area in the same Parish.

Compare the crime rate in the areas of New Orleans that have the same demographic as Metry.

Metairie is in Jefferson Parish in NO is in Orleans.
Metairie isn't a municipality. No is.
SG if incorporated would be a decent sized city in the same parish as a larger city.

Yeah, nobody has anything on NOLA East. Maybe Chicago southside or Detroit, but I can't find anywhere in Metairie that compares to there.

There's no real fair comparison between them.
1. Metairie is an unincorporated area in a completely different parish than New Orleans.
2. The entirety of Orleans Parish is incorporated as the city of New Orleans. East Baton Rouge Parish is made up of city of BR, a number of unincorporated areas, plus cities of Central, Baker, and Zachary.
St George-BR would be more along the lines of if Lakeview residents voted to secede from the city of New Orleans and incorporate as a new city within Orleans Parish.

Nothing more boring than another cookie cutter nolaphile, who like New Orleans itself, is far less interesting and intelligent than they think they are.
As far as the St George/Metairie comparisons: I see where you are coming from but it's more like the theoretical incorporated Lakeview scenario mentioned by someone else.
