Las Vegas is the best place for a new franchise.
No one in Vegas cares about sports except for the people hanging at the the Sports Books.

You're right, it doesn't. Here's a quote from 2005:
quote:
-- Even when victories are not calculated into attendance history, the Saints rank 10th in the league in overall regular-season attendance, with a total of 17,610,161, despite playing in the league's fifth-smallest market.

Nope. Would have to quadruple in size.

No. I'm a huge baseball fan, and I would love to have a NOLA team to root for.
The Zephyrs' attendance does not give me much confidence, though.

The Saints were pretty average for the majority of the 90s.

I don't think we'd support a baseball team that well because many people are bored by baseball and people go all out supporting the Saints.
Given how awful the Saints were for years, they have had great fan support throughout their history. Forbes ranked the Saints fan base #3 in the NFL in 2014.

We blocked out being in the top third of the league in attendance? You probably should have Googled some stats before opening your mouth.

Montreal would be a better choice than Vegas. Baseball is all about the local TV market. So New Orleans is definitely out.

To be fair, it would have happened if Louisiana politicians didn't frick it all up to a royal shitburger.

Yeah people can't shite on the fan support of the Saints... They are quoting all these stats of how shitty (low ranked) of a media market we have but we still flirt with 10 ten support even historically being one of the worse franchises in the history of the nfl since merger.

I apologize. I am clearly way off base. My memories of missing games in BR due to blackouts and praying corporations bought the last huge blocks of tickets before Friday were obviously made up.
As were the team moving rumors.

Shitcan the Pelicans and there is a chance it could.

You cleary were off base saying attendance doesn't lie. Sorry actual stats trump your memory.
Also, do you think the Benson's desire to move the team had anything to do with the attendance?
