As a high schooler in the 90's I remember fights sounding like a bunch of tarps being violently rubbed together thanks to starter jackets

Love those old Starter jackets. But they are pieces of crap as far as performance goes. Still an essential item however.

I had a Notre Dame one, there was maybe one kid with a LSU one in the whole school. Eastbay didn't really carry a lot LSU stuff. First thing I remember was Kevin Faulk Nike jersey.

I had a Jim Kelly Jersey when I was 22 years old. Glad to see Kelly in the HoF. He has a cool gold jacket

Act of Congress? If it got through the House, the Senate Dems along with the McCain et al would frick it up for sure.

Not to thread hijack, but does anybody else remember these...they were out before the first Air Jordan from Nike...they were the first expensive pair of tennis shoes I ever owned.

I don't understand how they went out of style.

I had a Saints one in HS, not gonna lie. But if I’m being honest, they were kind of a pain in the arse in Louisiana. Had to pull them off over your head and mess up the hair every time you came back inside.

I liked the look of them, but damn they were inconvenient.

The Raiders are what all the gangsta wannabes wore. That and the L.A. Kings and Sox.
