Unless you have access to wild game and fish, and means to get water, you are toast. Everyone in the city is done unless they can quickly-like VERY quickly escape. And those that have access to wild game and fish will have to kill those coming for it. All the movies about this would become real life. The other big thing would be knowing how to preserve meat without refrigeration. I doubt .05 % of the population can actually do this. I’m pretty damn handy and I can’t do it. And I’m not talking salt. (Salt is great if you have 100s of lbs of it) I’m talking about smoking it so it doesn’t spoil.

They’re talking about an economic depression to decouple ourselves from Chinese manufacturing, not a zombie apocalypse

Interesting how people who are losing at life are cheering on bad outcomes

They also don’t know realize just how bad what they’re asking for would be. Nor do people like OP think he or anyone that he cares about will undergo this massive amount of suffering

Youre clueless, as usual.

Somehow it makes you feel better about yourself, though. Thats raging insecurity.

Of course you do. Your daddy bought you a townhouse and youre still incredibly pretentious and insecure.

Which is normal for Anal retentive and socially awkward types.

You’ll be one of the first to die if you do not think a total economic collapse would do anything short of mimic a zombie apocalypse.

No, we don’t need a deep depression.

I agree, but a nice little recession could help in the long run. Some young people in our company need to get scared and motivated. They think they can dictate when & how they work bc we need them more than they need us. Wouldn't mind letting a couple go to make an example.

The Great Depression created the Greatest Generation.

Not saying I want another one. But hard times forge hard men.

The true answer is probably yes, if we used it reign in the investment banks and multinational corporations
