Actually read about it on here during a similar thread. The method called scaphism seems particularly unpleasant.

For modern first world people I say massive heart attack is the worst way people commonly die. Suddenly you're in blinding pain and confusion then you're dead.

The Brazen Bull. It’s an ancient torture technique the Greeks used.

Burning alive is pretty bad. Being treated in a burn unit until an eventual death probably sucks balls too.
There is this one form of torture that gives me the heebee jeebees. The condemned would be fed an egregious amount of milk and honey and placed in this giant pot with only his head exposed. Eventually, all that milk and honey has to come out and the poor bastard shits himself in the pot. Flys and other parasites are attracted and basically eat the person alive.

I read about it one time in a book about torture and executions.
I have another one that’s brutal and rematively recent. I think it was used in the early 20th century in British controlled Inidia. The person executed was strapped to the front of a cannon and the cannon would be fired. Becasue the body is blocking the muzzle of the cannon, the person receives ALL of the force and energy. The body was usually blown apart resulting in a quick death. However, depending on the size of the person, the lower half was blown away, but the torso and head remained leaving him to die a slow and painful death.

I haven’t read this thread, but we have this topic often enough: the usual candidates are crucifixion, burning alive, boiling alive, flaying, buried alive, or brazen bull.
Someone always posts scaphism which does sound awful but was probably used one time in all of history.
