re: Worst speeding ticket you've ever gotten?

Got pulled over by a supercop highway patrol going 82 in a 70 mph zone (only one I ever had, but I did get blue lights going 25 in a school zone once).
As he was explaining the ticket to me, another car speeds past and he abruptly stops talking to me, and sprints back to his car to take down the other guy.
Some cops take their responsibility way too seriously

92 in a 55 on the interstate in downtown Chatt, got it dismissed because the trooper turned it into his county and they never mailed it to the correct county. Showed up in court and my ticket wasn't there, judge dismissed it in case it ever showed up. Talked to the clerk about filing it when leaving in case the ticket was ever found and the clerk said the trooper was from this other county and I should call them in case they put my ticket for court in the wrong county. Called the county and I was on their docket that day. Got it dismissed there as well.

I've had a couple speeding tickets but nothing crazy. Worst ticket I ever got was for impeding the flow of traffic. Trooper was behind me while I'm headed to Nicholls. I couldn't merge into the slow lane right away because of traffic. Apparently doing 52-53 in a 55 isn't good enough.

When I'm actually speeding, especially if significantly speeding, I don't consider those the worst.
The worst are the BS speed traps like Robertsdale AL that used to fund the entire city, preying on everyone who had to pass through to get to Gulf Shores and Orange Beach.
They used to sit literally just behind the sign where it dropped from 50 (or maybe even 55) down to 30.
If you were doing even 35 mph when your wheels passed that sign, they'd pop you without hesitation. Assholes

Back during my stupid years, I got pulled over in Hoover, AL for "racing on the interstate" while travelling to Atlanta for the SEC Championship game in '05. He clocked me at 95+ but I can tell you it was north of 110 before I slowed down.

It's been awhile as the speed limit will tell, but 100 in a 55.

76 in a 35 at midnight in walker.
Had sparkler bombs in my car too and was hopped up on tons of coffee.
Don't know how I didn't go to jail that night

Driving through Shreveport on Interstate 20 late one night, got popped for 100 in a 60 by a deputy. The fine was less than 300 bucks.

Got let go because I was driving my drunk uncle home and the cop knew him. He was telling me to go faster because he had to take a shite.

97 in a 45
luckily it was Mo State police, because had it been Jefferson County police, i would of been arrested for a DWI and speeding.
He was probably changing shifts and knocked down the speed, so he wouldn't be asked why i wasn't arrested(40 over=arrest?) and sent me on my way.
I was glad to take that ticket, and then have my aunts judge(she was court clerk) take care of it, and it became a non moving violation and $200 fine. Probably paid for a bottle of JW Blue for the her judge and the judge who handled it.

I got a 30 in a 20 in Golden Meadow back in 83, I was drunk and had weed in the car. All they charged me with was the speeding. It was about 4:00 am as I was heading to Leeville to catch a chopper to go off shore. The "arresting officer" co-signed my check the next morning to bond me out...good times.

Been driving for 32 years. Got written up for speeding once 28mph in a 20mph - charges dropped. In that time, I've driven over 100 a few times. Drive a bit over the speed limit pretty much every time I hit the highway. Lucky so far.
