I'll throw North Carolina into the ring.

Have lived in LA, MS, and NC.

In North Carolina, stop lights are still green ~4-5 cars after it turns red. Every. Single. Time. Also, there is no such thing as right-of-way. If your car has brakes you are expected to use them, often aggressively, when someone decides they want to pull out in front of you. Which will happen every time you drive.

Today I saw a sewage truck on it's side in a 35 mph zone through a residential area.

Louisiana. Pretty much just south La tho. Upstate drivers are normal.

Texas drivers can be fast but rural drivers are very good and courteous.

Kansas is fricking bad. I thought no one would touch louisiana moving up here but these frickers are bad.

Not only bring stupid but doing shite to blatantly piss you off. Had a guy the other day on my way to work play the speed up slow down game when I’d try to pass him. Almost signaled him to the nearest sonic but he assuredly saw my louisiana plate and new I was a baw who was about his knuckle checks.

For real though shite like that has happened so much here. Not to mention there’s so much construction around Wichita right now shite makes you go mental.

Georgia has some bad drivers. So does Mississippi. My roommate in college was from Mississippi and his driving skills weren’t worth a shite. I usually ended up driving everywhere

Sounds a lot like Michigan. You are “that a-hole” only going 85 passing a truck.

Philadelphia by far. There are lots of bros with roid rage in Philly. On several occassions I've had people lay on their horn/flip me off and pass me when I was already doing 10mph over the speed limit.

Nevada drivers aren't bad overall, save for 2 notable exceptions:

1) Insane numbers of hit and run accidents here.

2) For some reason, young locals (especially on the weekends) think that our freeways are test tracks for Fast and Furious wannabes.

Denver
Louisiana
Pittsburgh

Those I have spent the most time in. Pittsburgh is 3rd simply because the hours that I worked I rarely encounter traffic. Denver has anything in Louisiana beat. They couldn't drive in snow, rain, sunshine.... anything.

Texas was definitely not the worst ive lived through. Seemed like it in Texas it was either people driving insanely fast or insanely slow. Less in the middle drivers.

I’ve lived in 4 states and have traveled in around 30 others.

Louisiana hands down has the worst drivers I’ve ever seen. And it’s not even close.

Drivers in memphis are a distant second.

Surprisingly, for all the traffic, California probably has the best drivers. With few exceptions they don’t treat merging like a personal affront (I’m referring to you Louisiana)

OTR trucker chiming in - my top 5:
California
Texas
Illinois
Georgia
New York

They all drive like distracted rancid shite when in big city limits, usually changing 3+ lanes at a time to get to an exit ramp.
