Not believing in myself and following my dreams early in life. I always thought that successful people had some magic I didn’t. Turns out they just work hard everyday.

Coming out of a Rouses with groceries and one of those 2 gallon fridge water jugs. When I put it in the basket, I knocked the nozzle open and it was leaking. This hot little number approaches me in the parking lot to tell me it was leaking. My dumb arse doesn't start up a conversation, nothing, just said thank you and kept going.

For some odd reason, I think about it often.

I should have never graduated from LSU, I should have become a professional student.

When I was younger, I only cared about doing drugs & partying 7 days a week. It cost me a debt-free college degree and a chance to take over my father's successful business. I straightened up after mu first child was born, but by then it was too late.

Not being able to get into the military. I don't regret it nearly as much these days, but for a good while it bothered me. I looked at my father, grandfather, and uncles - all were Army or Marine Corps veterans - and thought I was the weak link or something because of my piss-poor eyesight. None ever said anything or did anything to make me feel that way - it was all in my head.

I wanted to go into the Marine Corps when I was out of high school. Dad was a navy man and grandpa was Army and Air Force. I let mom talk me out of it. I always wondered how life would have changed had I gone into the military. I live a good life regardless so I can't call it a regret, but I do wish I could have served in the military. Wouldn't encourage anyone to go into the military now though. The country just doesn't take care of the veterans like they should. You're nothing more than a number on the battle field and a guinea pig.

I had to stop going to Renaissance festivals dressed as Thomas Becket for the same reason.

Not dealing with my mental health issues when I was in high school/college instead of waiting till my late 30's. Too many choices born out of anxiety instead of having faith in my abilities.

Not taking a life-changing job in another state in my mid 20s because the wife wouldn’t leave Louisiana. At the time…no kids, no debt. That was 40 years ago and I still think What If…

Agreeing to give the wife the dog when divorced.
