I played from 01-07, and I did used to camp miners that had to go into the Wildy to get their ores 
ETA: also spent quite a bit of time in the underground wildy area farming herbs from the red monks and farming other players too

my green h ween in what has evolved to RS3 is now worth more than a max cash stack but it's pretty much pay to win now and is nothing like the original game so i don't play rs3 at all

Both were very fun Kara was the top of the mountain for me.
I played classic, bc, and wotlk. My fondest times with my raiding guild were in kara and serpentshrine caverns. The attunement process was well laid out, the raids were fun, and our guild finally learned how to work together well and share resources properly through guild banks.
I am not ashamed to say that I still remember dropping lady vashj for the first time. I was so excited that I didn’t sleep right for 3 days lol. God I was such a nerd.
We went on to clear The Black Temple and we raided all of the important stuff in WOTLK. I left the game before we could clear ice crown citadel, but by that point, the game had changed too much for my liking.

I don’t dare try to play again. I am so afraid that I would get sucked back in and it would consume my life again. It was ok 15 years ago but I have a family and a full time job to give my time to.
I know for a fact that I would enjoy the hell out of classic and BC servers.

Thats what I thought... got bored VERY quickly.
You cant really recapture the magic of how things were back then. The players themselves were different.
