Worked with my wife for a year in the same public accounting office. We really didn't talk much at work and went to lunch together about once every two weeks. I didn't have any problems with it.

My wife and I work for the same company at different locations.

We get to chat throughout the day on the company IM. No cons come to mind.

God that sounds terrible. Work is a way to get away from the wife for a while. If I had to be around her 24/7 I’d kill myself. I love my wife btw

It's probably fine if you are both adults

We would rarely see each other. There may come a time where we may be on the same project but our communication at work would be minimal.

I don't need to get away from my wife but there is no way she and I could "work" together. We simply have two different ways of accomplishing the same tasks which would lead to conflict.

I did for 7 years. It was no big deal. I don't bring home to work, she didn't either and we dealt with each other in a professional capacity.

Then we carpooled home together and dealt with each other as a married couple. I've never really seen an issue if both of you are committed to the different relationship at work.

Wife and I both work in district, I get to drop in on her ever so often but do not see her day to day.

It's pretty cool honestly

We own a business together. She does the books and stays out of the way while I bring the business in and make sure the work gets done to our standards. Works fine for us.

Well. Kinda along those lines. I had a contracting business for about 5 years and the SO ran the books for me. It did not go well to the point it was either the business or the family. I am employed by others today.

The one good thing is that you will both be invited to the quarterly company cocktail party. Other than that I don't see any benefits.

All relationships benefit when both parties to have their own independent dreams and goals while growing as a couple.

My wife and I met at work and worked together, closely, for quite a few years. We were a great team and those were great times.

Unless you do something like auditing, how much do you actually work with someone else anyway? My wife and I own a business together, do different things. I mean we probably work together maybe 1 hour a day at most on average. Many days barely interact, days we have client meetings or something maybe a couple of hours. Doesn't change anything, just gotta watch the shop talk when the other doesn't want to work on off hours.

Met my wife when she got hired on as my locations HR manager then she got promoted to a different division. We worked for the same company for 13 years.
