I can't speak for all remote working jobs, but you typically still have to communicate with other people. Phone calls, email, etc...

Most also require face to face meetings periodically.

I have worked from home a few times. I don't think i ever had a verbal conversation with anyone other than the dog those days.

I guess it really depends on your line of work. I've had work days where I go into the office and I don't have verbal conversations.

Being at home doesn't hinder receiving phone calls for me, though.

Getting blown on your leather couch while doing a report is pretty awesome...

You should get a job, then you could leave your house.

typically sales jobs where you work remotely from an office that is not feasible to drive to on a day to day basis. MFG reps, etc..

I could do 90-95% of my job from home. But, I choose to come to the office.

Worked from home for 12 of the last 17 years. If you get your work done and are easily annoyed by people, it can be a nice perk.

I've worked from home the last 2 years, love the flexibility. I'm generally out in the field Tues-Thurs, golf on Fri

I work in sales for a manufacturer in the downstream O&G industry

Working from home is good if you can focus and get work done. I do it about half the time, I love walking/riding my bike to the various coffeeshops near my house to work for a while.

The best part is flexibility in getting things done during normal office hours, doctor's appointments, groceries, gym time, bank, other errands.
