I feel like different medical professionals wear different scrubs. Is this true? Doctors generally wear the light blue scrubs while nurses, etc. wear the darker scrubs most of the time. Is the light blue color reserved for doctors? Is this sort of an unwritten rule, or am I thinking way too much into this? Thanks.

Nah most docs think the light blue is more professional. Some hospitals designate colors to different departments. Radiology gray, respitory hunter green, nurses dark blue. Just depends on the individual as well as the place they work.

Black or brown or khaki dress pants, a white or blue dress shirt with a tie and a doctor's lab coat over it all. Sometimes I wear dark tennis shoes, sometimes I wear dress shoes.

ETA: I traded in my USAF BDUs and dress blues for the doctor's costume.
