I have been on a run with the last 3 getting them in 12, 10, and 14 guesses. Part of me thinks I have broken the game but most of me knows it has been luck to a degree. I expect another 100+ guess is coming soon.
What helped me was starting to develop an opening with a handful of set words that at worst get me pointed in the general direction. I am also spending more time with the game, I walk away after every couple of words and let it ferment in the back of my head.
After this post, the game is almost certainly going to humble me.

Thanks, also didn't realize you could see the past few words. I have noticed I have a lot harder time when the word isn't a noun.

I have a few words over 900 but my highest is 944, feel like I'm sidetracked now. Gonna take a break after 150 guesses and come back to it.

I'm 220 questions deep and my best guess is 988. I also have 985, 983, 974, and a bunch of others >800. I feel like I'm no closer than I was at the beginning.
I just guessed 'ectoplasm' again for shits and giggles and it was not my worst guess by far.
