It’s not about people from a particular city being able to afford the tickets, these are like a global commodity at this point

Exactly. My wife flew into NOLA for the Saturday night show today.

How do all these people in every freaking city have all this kind of money? It doesn’t add up at all
People will ring up credit card and/or loan debt to get that social media clout, no doubt about that. Look at what people are spending on vehicles these days.

As a dad of two young T swift fans, I can say that the secondary ticket market needs a makeover. It’s ridiculous.

Not really…..simple economics. Most of the swift shows had very few tickets hit the secondary market at all. A normal stadium these days you may see 7-10k listed on stubhub. For all of the swift dates less than 2k made it to the secondary, if you want to be angry at someone, be angry at swift for not playing more shows.

I've been to 3 College Football National Championships in New Orleans without tickets.
Had a damned good time for two of em.

Once your system is set up, there is really no cost to what you are doing, it would seem, and so it's all basically free money anyway, once you've wiped everyone else out.

In your ticket utopia, how do you pay customer service agents out to help out buyers/sellers when problems arise?

What that tells me is that her ticket buyers really want to see her…

I really have less than zero interest in Taylor Swift. Out of all her songs, the only lyric I know is “Haters gonna hate hate hate hate hate." THAT'S IT. And I only know that because it drove me fricking nuts every time I had to hear it on a fricking TV commercial.

And, I don’t have a teenage daughter.

However, I put in for the lottery for tickets. I have friends with teenage daughters and I would have either let them buy it or just sell them on a secondary market. Needless to say, I didn’t win the lottery.

Having said that, I’ve been putting in for Masters tickets as long as they’ve had an online lottery. I haven’t even sniffed a fricking practice round. If I ever won that lottery, I would go in a second. I don’t care how much I could get for it on a secondary market. So I have some understanding of how badly the Swifties want these tickets.

So now, get off my fricking lawn and leave me the frick alone!

This is me. No musical act or sports event moves me to spend stupid money, but I’m ready to go to the Masters.

We live 9 miles from the dome.
My wife and daughter don’t care enough to pay secondhand market prices, but we have family that got tickets to the Canada concert. My women may be flying up there for that concert.

That’s super cool. My wife got a free suite ticket through a friend.

I would be so disappointed in myself if my wife and daughters idolize and want to go to her concerts. I have made it a point to make sure my daughters understand how sorry of a person she is and they have 0 interest in wasting money and time on her.

I’m not driving anyone to the show.

That ship sailed after I saw what downtown looked like today. It’s a fkn jungle out there

Btw I live legit 8 minutes from the Dome.

Ima drive the next days bc it’s fun and I meet some interesting people but I’m not crossing Poydras or going anywhere near the Dome

Great work! Just know no matter what you do as a father, some random guys will be railing your daughters some day.
