It's time to beat down domestic violence, there's not place for that in society or behind closed doors.

Nah. My last 8 shifts I've worked, the numbers don't seem out of the ordinary. In fact, it's been quieter than usual.

There is NO WAY a woman cooped up in the house for three weeks is quieter than usual.

Between not having the insurance cards and others trying to fill controls 15 days early because they claim all pharmacies are going to be closing. I love the ones who tell me they know the laws during a state of emergency better than me.

So they don't call the police, but instead tell the pharmacist? What is the pharmacist then supposed to do? Take off his white coat, come down from his raised pedestal where the drugs are, and go kick the abuser's arse?

Angel shot. Presumably it works in pharmacies like it does in bars.

Was she fricking the Pharmacist?
I don't understand.
If she could get away and go to pharmacy, couldn't she call police or drive to police station?

I've heard they give the code word to the pizza delivery guy (or maybe that was a porn movie I once saw).

But, now that they aren’t jailing many, and many jailed are being released, are the abusers just going back home really pissed off?

Lots of abused women blame themselves for what’s happening to them, so what seems logical to you isn’t always going to seem like the right approach for a woman who is getting the hell beat out of her by someone who claims to love her.

Telling someone in a helping profession what’s happening and letting that person call the police is often easier than calling the police on her own.

I'm just telling you, our call for service volume is way down. And domestics are certainly not higher right now and probably a tad less.

Now, this time next week? We'll see...

Kind of reminds me of that old BS about "sex trafficking" spiking during the Super Bowl. There was never any evidence behind that, it was just someone with an agenda and a bad attitude trying to apply "common sense" and failing miserably.
