Unless you're sending your kid to private school, it doesn't take $800 a month to raise a kid. Scary thing is that most divorced dads I know pay around this if not more. They also cover most of their children's medical insurance cost. These women are making out like bandits.

You remember the comment Cameron Diaz made on Bad Teacher about how the pro-athletes confiscate their used condoms and shite to stop golddiggers from trapping them? Well that shite happens. My brother knew a lot of the football players when he wrestled at OU and said they seriously talked about methods for protecting their sperm during hook-ups. Girls would scoop it off their chins, out of their belly buttons, out of condoms, whatever. For some chick hooking up with a superstar, even assuming he's unwilling to marry you, that could be a $20K (or more) check every month for the next 18 years, plus pro-athlete genes.

It's pretty screwed up that she gets support, but I don't have a problem with the "gift" ruling.
I guess my concern is the liability this creates for any "gift." it seems irrational that you can be held responsible for how someone uses a gift.

There was this chick in college that had a thing for me. She didn’t really get drunk and was the quiet one that lurked in the shadows during conversations. Anyways, I finally caved when I was wasted and hooked up with her. She was sober and offered to bring me home, one thing led to another, etc.
I had the forethought to wear a rubber. In the morning when she thought I was still asleep, I saw her pick up the used rubber on the ground and put it in her purse and walk out the door. Freaked me the frick out.
Thank god nothing ever happened, but wtf was she doing?

I asked her, but she said she was throwing it out. Garbage can was about 1 foot from it on the floor though. I had aimed and missed from the bed and was too lazy and drunk to get up.
She definitely kept it for some reason.

Pretty sure this has been the case for a while. I guess by engaging in sexual conduct with a woman you assume conception as a risk no matter what. Some other guy was also on the hook for child support after sperm he'd had frozen was used to inseminate his ex-wife years later. Again, that was a "gift" to her for some reason, and no longer belonged to him.
What's really going to be outrageous is when some poor bastard literally has his sperm stolen by some chick he had absolutely nothing to do with. Like some successful dude visiting his gf having a freshly used condom scooped from the trashcan by her crazy roommate. He'll still be on the hook.
